Unexpected Art

I am not particularly interested -usually-in nature programmes. I feel a bit guilty about my lack of interest in the genre, because they’re the sort of programme that everybody else gets really excited about, but not quite enough normally to tempt me to watch.

Until this evening, when I found my husband sprawled watching The Frozen Planet on catch-up tv. I was, to put it mildly, bowled over by the beauty of the photography. Every single second of footage is a wondrous gem. Breathtaking art. I’m in awe.

I took some shots of the screen over a random five minutes of playing time. No editing, no recomposing; just what came up.

It really is a must-see.

About gillianholding

I am a contemporary visual artist living and working in Leeds fascinated and inspired by the absurdity of the world I live in and observe around me. I have this idea that if I can document my experiences and insights (such as they are) by every means possible then maybe, just maybe, I can make some sense of it all.
