One of my all-time favourite sights in Leeds are the gas holders dotted around the city.
They have weathered in a very pleasing manner.
Beautiful shades of rust and blue predominate, and I never tire of gazing at them. Normally I can’t indulge in a vey long gaze. Their placements are invariably just off the urban motorways and major junctions around the city, which usually means a quick glance as I flash by in the passing traffic.
Today though I was walking past and had to time to mess around taking a photo.
Beautiful, huh?

Your photo has a kind of retro look, very nice. There are some wonderful bits of engineering about aren’t there.

I think I appreciate industrial architecture and engineering more and more with the passing years…
