Never too late to realise an Idea

It’s happened to everyone I suspect. You write a post, it doesn’t save, and then you lose it.

Today’s post was supposed to be about me achieving a 20 year dream to stick a couple of chairs and a table on a balcony outside the bedroom, access to which was blocked for the best part of two decades by a variety of barriers including a trouser press and a shoe mountain.

Today the mission was accomplished, along with fulfilment of another 20 year old idea to visit Ingleborough cave in the national park. The best and most famous cave in Yorkshire. And so it was decided: a spur of the moment family outing to see stalactites, stalagmites and surreal rock formations, and to crawl along low-ceilinged passages impassable through flash flooding just nine weeks ago. Delicious shudders of fear all around when this gem of information was imparted to us by the guide with a wicked sense of humour.

A great day in all, only slightly diminished by the WordPress app freezing on me.
