One Day in My Local

I think I mentioned months and months ago that one day in Paris I was unable to get in to my favourite morning café. For one awful moment I thought it had closed. Luckily it was only shut in preparation for the filming of One Day. A couple of days later we watched Anne Hathaway sauntering down our street in her trenchcoat.

After the excitement of a film crew in the neighbourhood, life quickly returned to normal. It wasn’t the first and it won’t be the last bit of filming in these parts. As a ‘quartier authentique’, this part of the 10th arrondissement has a useful role to play in any film requiring a gritty view of Paris.

Here’s my morning spent gazing into the street and at the regulars.
